The Parliament

The House of Parliament is one of the most famous buildings in Hungary. It was built for the millennial celebrations of 1896 but the well-known Hungarian architect, Imre Steindl only finished it in 1902 in the year of his death. The design of the building was inspired partly by the Palace of Westminster.  It stretches with its white neo-gothic turrets and arches 268 meters in its length along the Pest side of the Danube.
