Garage & Parking
There is a 24-hour parking and garage facility in the hotel grounds. Private bus parking is also available in the hotel grounds.
For on-site parking, a fee of 3 600 HUF or 12 EUR daily or 300 HUF per hour applies.
The bus parking is free of charge to our guest.
The Aquincum Hotel Budapest accepts the following credit cards: AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD, JCB, Cirrus Maestro. Payment is accepted in HUF, EUR and USD. There is no currency exchange in our hotel.
24/7 ATM Service: ATM is available in the lobby for our guests.
In the restaurant, bar, spa and boutique you can pay by credit card, debit card or cash in HUF.
Pets (dogs and cats, up to 10kg) are allowed in the hotel for a 50 EUR extra charge per stay. Pets are not permitted in the restaurant and spa.
Budapest has an extensive and efficient public transport system so if you want to get from one point of the city to an other it’s worth using this way of travelling.
When using the underground, you tickets must be bought in advance, and validated before embarking. With buses, you can pay on the vehicle. It’s worth getting a Budapest Card for tourists because it gives two or three days of unlimited travel on public transport with discounted fees for a lot of museums and attractions.
Most transport runs until about 11:30 pm, and starts about 5 am. However, for those who are going out in the evening there are night buses and trams to almost every part of Budapest.
Safety and security
All the rooms of The Aquincum Hotel Budapest are fitted with double locks, eye-hole, electronic key-card locks, fire resistant doors and walls, smoke detectors and safety deposit boxes. Fire emergency evacuation drills take place on a regular basis in co-operation with the public emergency services.
Hungary is in the Central European time zone. Central European Standard Time (CET) is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1). In Hungary also follows daylight savings, meaning that in March time is shifted forward by one hour. However, in October time is shifted back again by one hour to Central European Time.

To reserve airport transfers or any other taxi transfer in the city please contact the reservation desk. We can arrange pick-up from the airport or train station 48 hours prior to your arrival; please send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Service is valid only for individual guests.
From 2007 Hungary is a member of the Schengen Agreement. Those who have a Schengen visa can travel to any member countries. The Schengen visa and entry regulations are only applicable for a stay not exceeding 90 days.
Voltage in Hungary is 220 volts and 2-pin continental plugs are used everywhere.
Tap water is safe to drink in the hotel.
The climate of Hungary is continental and characterised by warm, dry summers and cold winters. January is the coldest month with daytime temperatures usually around 0°C, and July and August are the hottest months with daytime temperatures of 28-30°C or more.
